LAHORE—The 2022 T20 World Cup loss to Zimbabwe, according to former Pakistani captain Babar Azam, rattled him.

Speaking on X-space, Babar Azam said this while discussing the most touching event of his cricket career to yet.

"There have been a lot of emotional moments. Becoming captain on my debut was one of those moments," stated Babar Azam. "But the World Cup defeat to Zimbabwe was heartbreaking."

"My two best centuries against Australia are the 196 runs I scored in the second Test match in Karachi in 2022 and in Brisbane in 2019." the top-ranked batsman in the One Day Rankings remarked, describing his best red-ball and white-ball innings.

"The hundreds against South Africa and New Zealand in white-ball cricket are my favorite innings in T20 cricket," Babar added. When asked about his future aspirations, he stated that winning the World Cup was one of his objectives. He also mentioned the 158 against England in Birmingham.

The former captain stated, "I want to play in every upcoming World Cup and help Pakistan win." Barak Azam is presently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Rangpur Raiders, where he averages 52.33 and hits at a strike rate of 112.94. He scored 157 runs with the help of two hundreds in four innings.
