Suryakumar Yadav, the rising star of India, is ranked first in the T20I rankings with 861 rating points. Azam has established himself as a consistent performer in multiple sports, and In the 2021 T20 World Cup against India, he and Rizwan are renowned for their capacity to chase down objectives of 150 or more without losing a wicket.

Supporters of the green squad cherish Azam's century during the 2019 Cricket World Cup chase against New Zealand, as it solidified his legacy.

The Lahore-born hitter had a terrible year in 2023 as he failed to lead his team to victory in either the Asia Cup or the CWC. The previous PCB management, led by Zaka Ashraf, dismissed him from the all-format captaincy, although he is still a top-order batsman.
