Now a day PayPal is collaborating and working with other existing international payment gateways to enter in Pakistan market. The main goal of PayPal to enhance the country's developing freelancing and IT professional communities in Pakistan.
The collaborative venture announcement is expected in the coming week, and it will be the huge development for Pakistan which is proud to be the world's fourth largest freelancing population, with over 1.5 million people.
Dr. Umar Saif, caretaker Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications, emphasized the favorable impact of this collaboration for IT exports and freelancer remittances, attributing the increase to recent measures encouraging a more liberal financial framework in pakistan.
The decision to bring PayPal to Pakistan follows previous governments' constant efforts to get the platform to operate directly in the nation, which ended with objections due to security concerns.
The government intends to increase IT exports from $2.6 billion to $5 billion through implemented measures such as allowing IT companies to keep 50% of their export profits in dollars and establishing 10,000 e-Rozgar Centres across the country for supporting freelancers and start-ups.
