In the second Twenty20 International between New Zealand and Pakistan, which is being played on Sunday at Seddon Park, Hamilton, New Zealand set a competitive aim of 195 runs.

The 24-year-old Finn Allen was the most productive batsman for the home team, hitting seven fours and five sixes in a fast-paced innings of 74 runs off of just 41 balls, dominating the Pakistani spinners all over the field.

The home team appeared to be on course for a large total because of Allen's outstanding start, but as soon as he was dismissed in the 13th over by Usama Mir's googly, everything went wrong.

When Allen returned to the pavilion, the home team was 137-2 in 13 overs, but they could only muster 57 runs in the next seven overs.

Pakistani bowlers produced an excellent comeback in the match and managed to restrict the in-form Kiwis to 194 runs, a score they can chase down.

All of the visiting bowlers, with the exception of captain Shaheen Afridi, claimed wickets, with Haris Rauf taking three in the 19th over to become Pakistan's highest wicket-taker of the game.

Earlier, Shaheen Afridi won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The Black Caps selected Mitchell Santner in lieu of Matt Henry, who was sidelined for the first Twenty20 International due to a last-minute injury, while the Green Shirts stuck with their starting lineup from the first game, which they defeated by 46 runs.
