The former captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, moved up to sixth place in the latest ICC Test rankings after facing South Africa. Due to a decline in performance, former Pakistani captain Babar Azam fell to eighth place with 768 points.


New Zealand's Kane Williamson (864 points) and England's Joe Root (859 points) are the top-ranked batters. Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith secured the third and fourth spots respectively, following their outstanding showing against Pakistan.


One of the most noteworthy moves was when Mohammad Rizwan moved up to the 17th spot with 668 points following a strong Sydney Test innings. Saud Shakeel advanced as well, moving up to 14th place with 693 points. Aamir Jamal's stellar debut series performance helped him climb to a career-high 45th position in the bowling rankings, while Shaheen Afridi is ranked 12th with 733 points.
