While the price of high-speed diesel has remained constant, the caretaker federal government has announced a small reduction in the cost of Petrol.
The price of petrol has been decreased by Rs. 8 per liter and the new price will be Rs. 259.34. The price of high-speed diesel will remain steady at Rs. 276.21 per liter.
During the most recent fortnightly assessment of petrol prices, the government maintained the same pricing for petrol and high-speed diesel.

The country's petroleum prices are mostly determined by the exchange rate and global oil prices; nevertheless, a significant factor in the current costs is the petroleum development levy.
Currently, the government levies a fee of Rs. 60 on each liter of high-speed diesel and gasoline.
