Premium Lounge Dining car at Lahore Railway Station was launched by Pakistan Railways CEO Amir Baloch. The premium lounge situated next to Bahauddin Zakariya Express is the first step toward improving Pakistan facilities.
In front of media Amir baloch emphasized on Pakistan Railways commitment to improving food and beverages standards in trains, as well as guaranteeing value for money in the permium lounge dining car design.
The Bahauddin Zakariya Express will be the initial one to benefit from the premium lounge dining car.In the next phase it is planned that this improvement will be extend to hazara express. Regardless of limited financial resources, Amir Baloch promised passengers the best facilities possible,he also emphasizing that the project was completed on a 'Develop and Run' basis in partnership with a private partners of Pakistan Railways.
In response to the questions,Amir Baloch demonstrated that the Lahore dining car contract is for one year and that customers will be charged Rs 250 for bedding service.He also emphasized on cleanliness that the dining car operator's responsibility to maintain the premium lounge dining car hygiene. The CEO recast the goal of supplying fare relief and highlights current conversations about the financial terms of ML-1 project of Pakistan railways.
The dining car can accommodate 45 passengers at a time and has a menu with over 40 items, as well as an oven for fresh baked 'roti', pizza, naan and barbecue. New premium lounge dining cars will be added to other trains in upcoming weeks.
