A huge number of Afghans have been crossing the border back to Afghanistan on a daily basis even the pakistani government not yet officially begins the deported program.

These departure, caused by fear of arrest, highlight the confusing human dynamics behind migration and refugee status.

On the third of January alone, 785 Afghan citizens returned to their motherland. The total number of participants consisted of 195 women, 267 men, and 323 children.

This new spike adds to the already huge 458,046 illegal Afghans who have decided to migrate since beginning of record-keeping, showing an ongoing, large-scale travel back across the border.

According to recent report its shows that 82 families travelled in 47 vehicles on January 3, showing the preset nature of some of these individual migration departures.

While thousands of undocumented Afghans have gone underground in Pakistan for escaping from deportation, afraid for their lives if they back to Taliban-ruled Afghanistan when the United States-led Western forces leave in a hurry and unruly manner in 2021.
